Nina Linder's Story
It has been over 13 years since my life changing open heart surgery. I am so grateful to be here and celebrate the life that I am lucky enough to live. I know that I will need this surgery again but try to give my heart and soul to each day to make it the best day possible.
Heart disease is the number one killer of women... most people would say breast cancer because Susan G. Komen does such a fantastic job of promoting awareness and raising research funds – but the facts are that cardiovascular disease kills a woman every minute. I don’t want to be part of this statistic, nor do I want any of my friends, family or associates to be; that is why I am working with the American Heart Association on their “Go Red for Women” campaign this year. Every dollar adds a healthy beat to a woman’s life because funds provide education and research that truly saves lives (maybe even mine again). Please join me in the fundraising effort for this event. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
